Every parent wants their kid to achieve their life goals and dreams, and it looks like one girl from Paris will appreciate that for years to come. Eva, a ten-year-old, was accepted to a prestigious program because of her unique robot-building idea.
One of the founders of the organization behind the Paris Summer Innovation Fellowship (PSIF), Kat Borlongan, took to Facebook to announce that for the first time ever, the organization has decided to accept a child applicant in their program.
The fellowship that was created to “bring young minds” and give them “funding, tools, space and mentorship to start prototyping the change they want to see in the city”, accepted their first child applicant because, as Borlongan says, they were impressed by her honesty and the passion for making her idea a reality.
“The streets of Paris are sad. I want to build a robot that will make them happy again. I’ve already starting learning how to code on Thymio robots, but I have trouble making it work. I want to join the program so the mentors can help me,” Borlongan wrote on her Facebook page.
