Children Want To Get A Dog, So Dad Writes Up A Contract. What He Writes? LOL!

Now that is one way to put things!

Every parent dreads the moment when their kids ask for a pet. It’s never an easy conversation. The simple “Can we get a dog?” turns into an hour-long conversation about responsibility and accountability, but in the end, parents, more often than not, simply cave in.

This dad knows what we’re talking about. Reddit user rjohnstone13 posted a photo of a contract he made his children sign before they got a dog. His kids had to sign the contract which specified most aspects of taking care of their new dog. It included everything from the size of the dog, to where it’s allowed to poop.

“We can get a dog if everyone agrees to all of the following terms,” the beginning of the contract reads. What’s the first item on the agenda? “Dad never has to pick up dog poop. Ever. The dog’s poop is picked up 3x per week by children to Dad’s satisfaction.”
